Betty L. Dickey, 93, a longtime Lees Summit, MO resident passed away on September 2, in Tucson, AZ.
Betty was born June 18, 1923 in Ordway, Colorado to Russell Carter and Clara Curl. Betty was a loving and supportive wife and mother. With one year of college, she helped the family working as a secretary in the electronics industry. Besides enjoying and cherishing her family, she enjoyed travel, fishing and sewing. Over the past 15 years she has crocheted over 1500 lap robes for the Tucson VA hospital.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Keith E. Dickey; her parents; one sister; one brother; and a great-grandson. She is survived by two daughters: Susan Buckner and Sherrie Sink; a sister, Waneta Crystal; 5 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO on Sat, September 17 at 2 PM with visitation starting at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery.
