Betty Mae Borchers

Our beloved mother, grandmother, GiGi and friend, Betty Mae Borchers, age 80, received an invitation to Heaven to meet Our Lord and Savior and to reunite with the love of her life, Clyde L. Borchers, on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Betty was born on January 7, 1945, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to Samuel Milo Seek and Ada Viola (Leach) Seek. She was born into the loving arms of her parents with a huge group of siblings and the love of extended family. She enjoyed genealogy research and would learn and document family history and share her findings with family and friends.

Betty was a strong woman with unbelievable talent and work ethic and those qualities shine through her children, Sharie (64), Richard (62), Rita (61) and Kimberly (56). She always made the point to live life right and to be accountable, independent, and thoughtful adults. She retired as an Account Representative with Fred Arbanas, Incorporated in Grandview, Missouri. Betty was married for 55 years to her soulmate, Clyde, who preceded her in death in 2017. As a grandmother and GiGi, she was known as the “Fun Gram” who was a little spitfire; open-minded, trendy, ageless and always on the go. She was always the first to say yes to outings, vacations, family dinners/gatherings, concerts, watching kids’ sporting events and simple family time. All of us were her life!

Mom/Grandma/GiGi, you were the heart and soul of our family, and you will deeply missed. Our promise to you is we will hold all the memories close to our hearts and live life happily knowing when our time comes, we will reunite with you in eternity.

Family and Friends are invited to say their final earthly goodbye to Betty at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149. Visitation on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1 pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers donating to Neph Cure or National Kidney Foundation.
