Barbara A. Brandes, 54, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, and by her daughter, Kristi, who passed away on June 4, 2005.
Barb was born on August 16, 1954 in Kansas City Missouri and was a life-long resident of Grandview. She was employed at the Grandview School District for over 20 years, where she touched many children?s lives. Family came first for Barb, who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend to everyone and went out of her way to help those in need.
She leaves behind her husband Neil, daughter Marisa, and son Tom. Her grandkids Whitney, La Sadie, Curtis, Hunter, Jawan, Zaniah, Quiarra, and a great-granddaughter on way were the most important things in her life and will miss her deeply.
Barb made a deep impact on everyone who knew her, and she will be missed dearly.
