Annette Peters

Annette Elaine Peters, 74, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2022, at her home. Annette was born in Libertyville, Illinois on May 8, 1947, to the loving home of Charles Edward Brehm and Inez Mae (King) Brehm. She was an only child growing up.  She attended and graduated from Wauconda High School.

After graduation, she was attending beauty school when she met the love of her life Ralph Peters. Annette and Ralph would marry and from that union had 3 amazing children, Victoria, Carl, and Ralph. Annette was an amazing mother and friend to everyone. She loved being a mom so much she wanted to give that love to others, and she became a foster parent with Catholic Charities. Annette would go on to foster over 100 infants in her life. When she wasn’t caring for her family, she was an expert in counted cross stitch, making many personal items from pictures to stockings. Annette loved to talk and meet new people; she never knew a stranger. But she was an amazing listener as well. She was an avid collector of things, and she loved her fur babies too.  Annette will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Brehm, and Inez (King) Brehm, husband Ralph Peters, and daughter Victoria Lynn Cockrell.

She is survived by her sons Carl (Kairy) Peters, and Ralph (Karen) Peters, son-in-law James Cockrell, 9 grandchildren: Krystal (Pedro) Vasquez, Brittani Magaña, Derek Wilson, Jessica Peters, Carley (Keaton) Montgomery, Kyle Peters, Alayna Foreman, Delaney Peters, Julia Peters, as well as 9 great-grandchildren.

Services for Annette Peters will be in the care of Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery- 12700 SE Raytown Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64149. A celebration of Life will take place on Thursday January 27, 2022, with visitation at 10am followed by her service at 11am, all at Longview Funeral Home.
